2014 has been kind to the Great Falls Americans. They are 4-0 so far in the new calendar year. The Ams are currently 2nd place behind the Bighorns who they will meet tomorrow night for the sixth time this season. Helena leads the series four games to one. Great Falls is familiar with the Bighorns’ aggressive style of play, so they know that maintaining a strong defense will be key.

“It’s blocking shots. Shooting as much on their goalies as we can,” says Ams goalie Evan Hauser. “Goal tending for us is a huge thing. They fire a lot of shots on us. So everyone has got to be on their A-game and doing the right thing.”

Hauser is also aware of why the Bighorns have been so successful in the last decade.

“They’re good at recruiting, they have a lot of hard working players,” explained Hauser. “They work their tails off everyday and they’re just a tough team to play against.”

The puck is scheduled to drop Wednesday at 7:35 in Helena.
