GREAT FALLS, Mont.., November 22, 2025 — The Great Falls Americans (14-7-1-1) and the Yellowstone (WY) Quake (6-14-2-0) completed their season series against each other on Saturday. Both squads played their entire season series in October and November 2025. 

On Friday, the Americans cruised to victory over the Quake by posting a 7-3 win in Great Falls. Ethan Miller and Kiefer Lundmark each tallied two goals each and  goaltender Gunnar Bergo made 22 saves in the second and third periods after replacing starter, Kaden Rhyder. Nolan Winkler, Carson Joersz and Colby Jensen put in the goals for Yellowstone. 

The Great Falls Americans completed the weekend sweep at home over the visiting Yellowstone (WY) Quake by posting a 5-0 shutout victory on Saturday night at the Great Falls Ice Plex. 

Five different players lit up the lamp for Great Falls including Keegan Hanson, Wyatt Hanna, Jaxon Savage, AJ Prioli, and Jarett Averett.

During the opening period, Keegan Hanson recorded his first goal of the season 48 seconds into the game with Reid Lezubski and Gavin Denis setting up the scoring drive while Yellowstone was in the sin bin. Eleven minutes later, Wyatt Hanna answered with a goal of his own. Cooper Cloouse and AJ Prioli earned the assists to give the Americans a 2-0 lead after one period. 

After scoring twice in the first period, the Americans secured a single tally by Jaxon Savage 56 seconds into the frame as Kiefer Lundmark and Fisher Hannesson picked up the assists. The team skated away the final 19 minutes without finding the back of the net. The Americans outshot the Quake, 35-20 before the second intermission. 

AJ Prioli tacked on his fifth goal with helpers coming from Cooper Clouse and Ethan Miller midway through the final period. Great Falls would add one other score before the final horn sounded. Sidney, Montana native Jarett Averett put the puck in the net for his first career goal in his Americans career with 5:33 left. Kiefer Lundmark gathered his second assist of the night while Jase Troyer added his first. 

Great Falls’ defense allowed Yellowstone to attempt 27 shots during the sixty minute contest. The home team needed 50 shots to get five successful scoring drives. 

Keegan Hanson’s first period lamplighter was the only power play opportunity that Great Falls took advantage of. They went 1-for-4. The Quake had two chances that came up empty.

With the Helena Bighorns 3-2 loss at Steed Arena in Helena on Saturday, Great Falls is now in second place in the Frontier Division. 

Cole Murphy and Gunnar Bergo both saw action for the Montana NA3HL team. Murphy stopped all 19 shots in 40 minutes and Bergo (3-1-0-0) rejected all eight shots taken by Yellowstone and picked up his second win of the weekend. Damen Baxter was denied his sixth victory (5-14-2-0). The Yellowstone goalie made 45 saves in the setback. 

NOTES: Great Falls celebrated 1st Liberty Federal Credit Union and Military Appreciation Weekend (Nov. 21-22) with the Yellowstone Quake in town.  The Americans wore special edition military themed jerseys both nights that payed homage to Malmstrom Air Force Base..  The jerseys were signed and  auctioned off after this weekend with the proceeds going to a military charity called “A Top-3 Fly Home Program” at Malmstrom Air Force Base (MAFB). This charity helps airmen at MAFB be able to fly home to visit friends and family. The auction goes from Friday at 5:00PM until Tuesday, November 25th at 8:00PM. In addition to the military themed jerseys, there are a few more DASH activations that fans can take part in. Russell Country Federal Credit Union has their annual “Jersey Off Our Back” night with the proceeds going to the Josh Huestis Foundation, a local non-profit that supports youth programs, a “12 Days of Christmas” activation with one winner drawn daily from December 13-24. Fans can also purchase a special edition Baldy Christmas Ornament through DASH, and during the Americans home date with the Bozeman Ice Dogs, there will be a Teddy Bear Toss. NEXT CONTEST: The Helena Bighorns will make the trip to the Great Falls Ice Plex to renew their rivalry with the Great Falls Americans on Friday, November 28 with the puck dropping at 7:05PM (MST). Great Falls is 1-1-0-1 against Helena this season. Fans can tune into NATV with Americans Play-By-Play Announcer Ryan Siders on the call. 

Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom (1101 7th Street South) is the place to be after Friday and Saturday night home games where the Americans invite their fans and supporters to their post-game dinner.

Buffalo Wild Wings, located at 17 Northwest Bypass in Great Falls, hosts the “Americans Watch Party” this season when the Americans are on the road. Fans are invited to get food and drinks and watch the game.
