Dear Great Falls Americans Enthusiast:
Welcome to the 2nd edition of our weekly E-Newsletter and I want to thank our Social Media Coordinator, Jess Sanstra, for coming up with the catchy name. By now, I am hoping that everyone has followed along and knows that we came away with 5-4 and 5-3 (ENG) wins over Yellowstone for our home opening weekend. Special congrats goes out to Ty O’Bey and Christian Crutcher for earning NA3HL Frontier Division #1 and #2 Starts of the Week (NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week | North American Tier III Hockey League | NA3HL). You will learn more about Ty as part of our player profile below.
I also want to acknowledge others who made it a very successful opening weekend. The Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce for their Ribbon Cutting ceremony prior to the game on Friday which allowed us to show off the new Great Falls Americans Dressing room. Check out the video of the ceremony on the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. Point S Tire and Auto Service then took the spotlight as presenting Sponsor for Friday night’s game with Nick Fox, Owner of the Jerry Noble and Fox’s Point S Tire and Auto Service conducting the ceremonial puck drop.
Saturday night highlighted the American’s Booster Club with a pre-game tailgate party and Booster Club member Steven Quick dropping the ceremonial puck. A special thanks goes out to the band “After Five” for performing during the tailgate party with their cover of some classic rock and country songs.
The Americans are off this weekend on a retreat but will be back and ready to go for a two-game series at home with Gillette Wild on the 22nd and 23rd.
