Dear Great Falls Americans Enthusiast: Not much new to report this week, so this will be a relatively short newsletter. I will start by saying that no live animals have been sacrificed by the team! Although all things were discussed and considered as avenues to break our losing streak and get coach over the 299 wins hump, we have taken a different approach to getting back on track. We have all our players back and healthy (welcome back Dmitri) and we have addressed the issue head on with a great week of practice and a positive attitude towards working hard and playing the game the right way. The team is looking forward to the challenges ahead and are excited to move forward with some solid play and, hopefully a few wins. That does not mean that we would not support any of our many great fans from exercising the “Curse Breaker Spell” to the right, but we are confident we can get it done with positive karma and without witchcraft or voodoo. Of course, we also reserve the right to change if things do not go as planned.

Two games this weekend at Bozeman – 7:30 PM puck drops both nights and we encourage all of our fans to attend our official watch party at the Stadium Sports Bar and Casino. Todd and Lara Clark are ready to host our fans and we have no doubt the positive energy our fans can give off when together will be appreciated by our players. Our next home game then is on Friday the 2nd as we host Helena.

It is also the time of the year where there are numerous charities and fundraisers taking place and the Americans are delighted to have the opportunity to give back to the community in so many different ways. This week, we have contributed silent auction packages valued at $500 to The Great Falls Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited (their dinner is February 2nd – but you will all be at our game) and the Malmstrom Spouses Club Auction (March 2nd) which helps supports scholarships and programs for Air Force children in need. We are happy to support the community in these endeavors and know there are several others coming up down the road that equally deserve our, and your, support.

Be sure to checkout a visual podcast we completed with Todd Neighbor and Janet Duffy from Comparion Insurance on our website (www.greatfallsamericans.com ) in the coming days. We thoroughly enjoyed spending some time with Janet and Todd and very much appreciate their support and willingness to promote our efforts.

Finally, a little advanced notice on some new online fan activations to look forward to in the coming weeks. On Sunday, we will launch our “Mystery Pin” sale. You will have the option of buying one, three or eight Baldy pins (or even multiple sets if you would like) and each purchase will earn you the same number of entries (one, three or eight) into our next “Mystery Box” promotion. I can’t tell you everything that will be in this “Mystery Box”, but can say it will include a GFA portable blanket and a Great Falls Americans scarf with the total value equaling more than $150. The “Mystery Pin” promotion will close on Saturday evening the 3rd. Then, on Sunday the 4th (look for more detailed info on this next week), we will open our very special Valentine’s Day Auction. As a teaser, we have enlisted the support of our partners Life in Bloom Floral and Gift Boutique, She Bare Wax & Sugar Boutique and Central Avenue Meats to put together three amazing Valentine’s Day packages that we will auction off prior to our Valentine’s Day home game. I am asking for your trust in that there will be something for everyone in these packages. The only other thing I can tell you, now, is that Baldy will be involved and you can access both of these activations on our team page when they open up on Dash at:  https://fans.winwithdash.com/auctions/greatfallsamericans
