Dear Great Falls Americans Enthusiast: We are off and running to what is shaping up to be a special season. After a long week of training camp, our players had a chance to wear their new jerseys for the first time and show off their skill to an enthusiastic crowd. The game was fast paced and competitive. Team Blue jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after the first period, only to have Team White bounce back and tie the score at 2 entering the 3rd period. Both teams had scoring chances, but Keegan Hanson finally found the back of the net for Team Blue with a few minutes remaining in the game and the 3-2 win.

Thanks to all our fans for coming out and those who participated in our Jersey and Alumni auctions through DASH last week. I am pleased to announce that Adam Ladd (Old Saybrook, CT) had the winning bid in our Alumni Signed Jersey Auction while Toni Roppe-Quick (Great Falls, MT) won the Home White #1Fan Jersey bid and Larry Westgaites (Overland Park, KS) takes home the Road Blue #1Fan Jersey. Adam Stanzcak (Great Falls, MT) threw one of the 17 pucks “chucked” during our first Montana Air National Guard “chuck-a-puck” and was closest to the Teriyaki Madness target, winning a free teriyaki bowl. I am confident that as people get to know the chuck-a-puck activation, it will become quite popular as our fans vie for prizes from Play It Again Sports, Montana Rib & Chop House, Fire Pizza, Teriyaki Madness and our newest partner the world-renowned Sip-N-Dip Lounge at each home game this season. Now is the perfect time to secure your pucks to chuck for the season as you can reserve your pucks for each game through DASH (QR Code to the right). On each game night, you can then simply stop at the chuck-a-puck table to pick up your bag of Montana Air National Guard chuck-a-pucks.

The night was capped off at Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom who has signed on to serve as our “Official Gathering Place” after all home games. This activation is a great way for our fans to mingle with our players after a successful home game and enjoy some great food and drink with other passionate fans. Our players enjoyed some great food and a chance to unwind after the game while it also provides our billet families a little relief in not having to cook for their hungry players after a hard-fought game. Plan on joining us after all home games at Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom as all fans are welcome.

Monday morning was the start of the regular season as the players got into their normal weekly practice routine for the season. There was a brief delay on Monday as our videographer (Gentle Thug Visual Media) was on hand to record a quick video profile on each of our players at the start of their ice session. Look for these short vignettes to be featured through our social media outlets, live stream of our games and possibly in a few TV commercials as the season goes along. After practice, they had a workout with the Rise Athletics’ Coaches Emma and Gracie that proved to be a very demanding 75 minutes.

Tuesday saw a normal routine with practice and then a workout session at the Peak Health and Wellness. The evening found our several players making an appearance and attempting to compete in “Singo Bingo” at Annie’s TapHouse. The players grabbed a quick dinner from the Okii Food Truck and then got their jam on as they mingled with fans while identifying some Stadium Rock themed music, including the goal song for most of the NHL Teams. A special thanks to Danny and Kevin for hosting us at Annie’s and for the regular Singo Bingo players for letting our guys invade their territory.
