Dear Great Falls Americans Enthusiast: For those who followed the last couple of games, welcome to the Frontier Division version 2025! One of the things we have learned over the first few weeks of the season is that it is likely there will be a lot of very competitive and hard-fought games night-in and night-out! Last Friday night in Helena was no different with a 3-2 shootout loss and a gritty effort by our young team. Our staff believes our guys grew up a little bit with the effort and it was another steppingstone in their progress. It is never easy to win on the road in this division and definitely not easy in Helena. The point gained by taking the shootout loss could prove valuable at the end of the season, but more importantly the experience gained will bode well for future challenges and their overall development. Our players and staff are excited about the challenge again this week as they head to Bozeman on Friday night and then host Helena again on Saturday.

The last couple of Wednesday evenings have found several of our players helping with Youth Hockey as they continue their efforts to grow the game with “Try Hockey for Free” Events. Another 30 plus kids have stepped on the ice for the first time as a hockey player and had a chance to work with our players along with 8U coaches and players from Great Falls Amateur Hockey. The foundation of any youth hockey organization is their 8U program and the future looks bright in Great Falls. That makes roughly 100 kids 4-10 years old that have been given the chance to try hockey over the past two months as we partner with youth hockey to identify the next generation of hockey-passionate players, coaches, officials and fans.

For those not making the trip to Bozeman on Friday night, consider stopping by OKTOBERFEST on the 100 block of Central Avenue starting at 5:00 PM. Admission is free with a live band and plenty of German food, beer and activities taking place, including the Americans setting up shop to promote our game and bring a little hockey to the downtown area. From there, you can head over to our “Official Watch Party” at Buffalo Wild Wings. A very special thanks goes out to Annie’s Taphouse for including us in the festivities and the opportunity to expose the community to Americans’ hockey.

Saturday sees Helena come back to the Icer Plex for our third match-up of the season. It is the first of our Toyota Nights as our partners from City Motors continue to support the Americans. Should be a fun night of hockey – hope to see you there.

Next Monday is the last opportunity to secure your pucks to chuck for the season as you can reserve your pucks for each game through DASH (QR Code to the right). On each game night, you can then simply stop at the chuck- a-puck table to pick up your bag of Montana Air National Guard chuck-a- pucks. Thank you to our prize partners from Play It Again Sports, Montana Rib & Chop House, Fire Pizza, Teriyaki Madness and the world-renowned Sip-N- Dip Lounge who have provided the targets and the prizes available for our fans to win at each home game.

We are currently offering our fans the opportunity to purchase your very own customized version of our home and away jerseys for the 2025-26 season. Both our home(white) and away (blue) jerseys can be customized with your size, name and number for a limited time though our online store at www.greatfallsamericans.com.
