The Great Falls Americans returned to its home ice Saturday night for first time in a month, beating the Billings Bulls 1-0 in double overtime to win its fourth in a row.

On Friday night, the Americans survived in overtime, too, against the Glacier Nationals, 5-4.

On Saturday night, the game-winning goal by Dylan Garton — the Great Falls native’s 12th of the year — was assisted by Cody Page and Lucas Stover, their 19th and 11th assists on the season, respectively.

The Americans, who played in front of 823 fans at the IcePlex, moved to 25-6-1 on the season. Great Falls continues to hold firm position of second place in the American West Hockey League with 51 points, eight back of first-place Helena, which moved to 29-1-1 on the season after a 4-2 win over Gillette on Saturday.

Erik Powell stopped all 22 shots he faced, recording his third shutout of the season, improving his record to 15-3 on the season. Goalie Daniel Oordt stopped 45 of the 46 shots for the Bulls.

The Americans travel to Helena on Wednesday to face the Bighorns. The puck drops at 7:35.
