CODY, Wyo. – The Great Falls Americans topped the Yellowstone Quake in a shootout for the second consecutive game late Saturday night.

Tegan Harrington’s goal with 1:31 left in the third period tied the game at 1-all, and Adam Vandenbos’ tally in the shootout was the game-winner for a 2-1 score.

Out of the 14 attempts between both teams in the shootout period, he was the only one to score.

Great Falls net minder Nick Nast stopped 30 of 31 shots and caused all seven Yellowstone skaters he faced in the shootout session to misfire. Friday night, the Americans beat the Quake in a shootout, 3-2.

The Americans improved their record to 25-3-2-3 and are now just two points back of the Quake for first place in the NA3HL’s Frontier Division.

Great Falls will be home Friday and Saturday for a series with the Gillette Wild at the IcePlex.
