GREAT FALLS –The Great Falls Americans and the North American Tier 3 Hockey League have announced their schedule for the 2020-21 NA3HL Frontier Division season, which will begin with a weekend trip to meet the Butte Cobras in the Mile High City.

This will be the tenth season for Americans’ Junior A hockey in Great Falls, and their third year under head coach Greg Sears. They finished the pandemic-shortened 2019-2020 campaign in third, behind Division regular season division champ Bozeman and runners up Sheridan.

The Americans will open with a pair of road matches against the Cobras Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3, at the Butte Community Ice Center, then will play the Helena Bighorns Friday, Oct. 9 at the Great Falls Ice Plex on Gore Hill, the first of a 20-game home schedule.

With COVID-19 protocols, seating will be limited not only at the Ice Plex, but at all venues where spectators are permitted.

The Frontier Division of the NA3HL will again be an eight-team circuit, with teams in Bozeman, Butte, Missoula, Helena, and Great Falls in Montana, and Wyomong cities Cody (Yellowstone), Sheridan and Gillette.
