BOZEMAN – Goalie Drew Scites pitched a shutout with Nate Simpson and Trent Cowden found net twice Friday night to lead the Great Falls Americans to a 5-0 blanking of the Bozeman Ice Dogs in a NA3HL Frontier Division match at the Haines Pavailion.

Hendrik Robel and George Nuutinen assisted on both of Simpson’s goals, while Simpson added an assist on Cowden’s second goal, a power play effort last in the third.

Scites redirected all 20 shots he faced for the win, while Mikael Levokari collected 44 saves in 49 tries for the Ice Dogs. Jens Juliussen also scored for the Americans, who remain three points ahead of the Helena Bighorns in the race for the top seed going into the NA3HL postseason.
