Great Falls native Cam McIntosh picked up the win in net and Levi Mese scored twice Saturday night to lead the Great Falls Americans to a 5-1 win over the Yellowstone Quake in NA3HL Frontier Division action at the IcePlex.

A crowd of 856 watched as the Americans, who lead the division by five points over the Helena Bighorns, control the game from start to finish. The win was Great Falls’ 36th of the season (36-7-0-1, 73 pts.) and 15th consecutive.

The Bighorns (33-7-2-0, 68 pts.) kept pace with the Americans with a 7-0 blanking of Missoula.

McIntosh saved all but one of the nine shots he faced for his first win int the NA3HL, while Mese tallied for back-to-back goals in the second period after the Americans took a 2-0 lead. Hendrik Robel, Justin Ohnstad and Payton McSharry also scored for the Americans, who outshot the Quake 65-9.

The Americans travel to Bozeman to face the IceDogs this Friday night at 7:30 at the Haynes Pavilion.
