Ten hockey players attempted tries in a shootout between the Great Falls Americans and Bozeman IceDogs on Saturday night at the Great Falls IcePlex.
Only one of those 10 players scored.
After a scoreless overtime period, Stevan Goran, after both teams failed to convert four times each in the shootout, buried home the game-winner and goaltender Lauren Massie deflected a shot away at the other end as the Americans outlasted the IceDogs 4-3.
Connor Barta, Austin Krantz and Tanner Congdon all had a goal apiece as the Americans improved to 9-2 on the season and are leading the Frontier Division with 18 points.
The Americans outshot Bozeman 29-24 in regulation, and Massie stopped 23 of 26 shots overall.
