BOZEMAN – Tegan Harrington scored twice and Payton McSharry scored the game-winner with 1:11 left in the third on a power play to boost the Great Falls Americans to a 5-4 win over the Bozeman Icedogs in a NA3HL Frontier Division match at Haynes Pavilion.

Kyler Ayers got the win in goal, redirecting 39 of the 43 shots he faced.

McSharry scored his 21st goal off a feed from Ricards Bernhards with Gabe Rankin in the box on an interference call.

Harrington scored in the first and third periods, and assisted on Brendan Jester’s tally in the first. Tanner Congdon added three assists.

Bozeman net minder Luke Olson collected 51 saves as the playoff-bound Icedogs remain in fifth place with 44 points (21-15-2-0).

The Americans, also headed to the postseason, are still two points behind division-leading Yellowstone with 63 points (29-3-2-3) after Yellowstone’s Quake rolled past Billings 10-0.

The Americans host Helena Thursday night at 7:30 at the IcePlex.
