GREAT FALLS —The Junior A Great Falls Americans hockey team is getting ready to start their seaason this Friday after a solid year of reaching the Frontier Finals.

As the season gets underway, head coach Greg Sears brings back 14 returners from last year’s Frontier Finals team that went toe-to-toe with the eventual champs, the Sheridan Hawks.

This year, with only a handful of practices under their belt, they will look to evaluate where they are so they can improve as they progress through their season.

“First game of the season, we don’t know what we are getting into, we will see. We are going to go play and have some fun. I told the guys like we are just gonna play loose and just be hockey players and work on good habits and see what happens,” said Great Falls Americans Head Coach and General Manager, Greg Sears. “We have high expectations but at the same time we are going there (Cody, WY) and gel as a team and see what we have under the covers.”

The Americans will take on the Yellowstone Quake this Friday (and Saturday) in Riley Arena in Cody, Wyoming, the start of the NA3HL season.
