GREAT FALLS, Mont., May 12, 2015 — A pair of hockey players that played for the Great Falls Americans Junior A hockey team during the 2014-15 season have made their decision to continue their education and hockey careers at the collegiate level beginning this fall.
Americans Goaltender Moran makes NCAA commitment to St. Olaf College
A Great Falls Americans goaltender from the 2014-15 squad had decided to continue his education at the college level and play for the St. Olaf College Oles, an NCAA Division III private liberal arts school in Minnesota. rnrnJordan Moran will join the St. Olaf College men’s hockey team located in Northfield, Minnesota in the fall of 2015. The Minnesota athletic team is a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).rn
Great Falls forward Wylie called up to NAHL’s Odessa franchise
The Great Falls Americans, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are pleased to announce that forward Wade Wylie has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Odessa Jackalopes. The Jackalopes currently compete in the NAHL’s South Division.

Lucas Lomax, the forward from Phoenix who played in his final game in an Americans’ jersey Saturday, scored three minutes into their third and last contest of the North American 3 Hockey League Silver Cup to take a 1-0 lead. The goal was assisted by newcomer Josh Larson.rnrnIt wasn’t close to enough, however, as the North Iowa Bulls, the two-time defending Silver Cup champions, tallied six unanswered and cruised past the Americans, 6-1, at the Fox Valley Ice Garden.
Silver Cup Tourney: Americans end their season with a 6-1 setback to North Iowa
After allowing one goal by the Great Falls Americans, the North Iowa Bulls scored six consecutive goals to pull away from Great Falls, 6-1 on the final game of the prestigious tourney on Saturday night in Illinois. Great Falls struggled to find the back of the net and scored just once during each of their three round-robin games.

The Jets, who will play their home matches in Fraser, Mich., under new ownership next winter, scored a pair of unanswered goals in the middle stanza and made them hold up to defeat the Great Falls Americans 3-1 in the second of three round-robin matches for each club Friday at the NA3HL Silver Cup Tournament at the Fox Valley Ice Garden.
Americans fall to 0-2 at the Silver Cup Tourney
The Great Falls Americans (38-12-3) scored only one goal for the second straight day and allowed three by the Metro Jets on Friday afternoon during the second day of the Silver Cup Tournament. Great Falls fell to 0-2 at the Silver Cup Tourney with one more game tomorrow remaining against #2 North Iowa Bulls.
