The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of February. The Great Falls Americans had two players that made the Honorable Mention honors for the month of February. Lucas Lomax was named as an Honorable Mention as a Forward for the Easton Hockey Forward of the Month while Americans goaltender Jordan Moran was named to the Honorable Mention team as a goaltender.

Great Falls responded with two goals in each period and Lucas Lomax and Josh Larson combined for four goals and two assists to help the top-ranked Great Falls Americans rout the fourth-ranked Billings Bulls 6-2 to secure a spot in next week’s 2015 NA3HL Frontier Divisional Finals. Lomax contributed three goals for his second consecutive hat trick.

Lucas Lomax scored four goals Thursday night in front of 240 fans at the IcePlex as the Americans took Game 1 of the best-of-3 series with the Billings Bulls, 5-4, in the semifinals of the Frontier Division playoffs.

Top-ranked Great Falls posted a 5-4 win over the fourth-seeded Billings Bulls in Game 1 of the NA3HL Frontier Division Semi-Finals hosted by the Americans at the Great Falls Ice Plex on Thursday night. Arizona native Lucas Lomax recorded four of the five goals for a hat trick for Great Falls.

The Americans — who open the Frontier Division playoffs Thursday at 7 at the IcePlex in a best-of-3 series with the Billings Bulls — proceeded to lose their next five games and, in the process, their stranglehold atop the Frontier Division of the North American 3 Hockey League.
