GREAT FALLS, Mont., December 13, 2014 — For the second night in a row, the Great Falls Americans (22-3) and the Gillette Wild (18-9-1) faced each other in Great Falls. The top-ranked Americans looked to redeem themselves from Friday’s 5-0 loss to the Wyoming franchise.rnrnGreat Falls prevented their second consecutive loss in as many days by posting a 4-1 victory over the Gillette Wild with 580 spectators watching the Saturday night NA3HL showdown at the Great Falls Ice Plex. The Gillette Wild scored three of their five goals in the final period as Gillette blanked the Great Falls Americans 5-0 Friday at the IcePlex. The 456 fans saw their team’s winning streak end with six straight victories. The Americans lost for just the third time this season (21-3), all on home ice.

BLAINE, Minn., December 9, 2014 — After two days of competition at the prestigious NA3HL Showcase in Minnesota that began on Sunday, the Great Falls Americans (21-2) have picked up wins over the Minnesota Flying Aces (3-1) and the St. Louis Jr. Blues (4-3 in a shootout).rnrnOn the final day of the Minnesota tournament, the Americans faced South Division opponent, the Point Mallard Ducks on Tuesday morning at the Schwan Super Rink. The Point Mallard Ducks, who play their home games in Decatur, Alabama, boast a 13-8 record so far this season including going 1-2 at the Showcase tournament that concluded Tuesday.rn
