GREAT FALLS, Mont., January 11, 2014 — For the second time in two days, the Great Falls Americans hockey team have had their fans on the edge of their seats. A night after the Americans posted a 5-4 overtime victory over the Glacier Nationals in Whitefish, the second place Americans finally returned to their home ice against the fourth place Billings Bulls on Saturday night after having been on a month long road trip the since December 1st.

WHITEFISH, Mont., January 10, 2014 — After posting a 3-0 shutout over the Gillette Wild in Wyoming last Saturday night, the Americans continued their victories on the road with a 5-4 win in overtime against a tough Glacier Nationals team in Whitefish, MT. Great Falls opened up the scoring drive against the Nationals on Friday night with two goals in the first period as Brady Christiaens and Paul Sartuche both found the back of the net for points. Great Falls out-shot the host team 23-8 after 20 minutes of action. Aaron McInnis, Donovan Mattfeldt, Erik Gatson and Lucas Lomax contributed the assists on Great Falls' two goals.

GILLETTE, Wyo., January 4, 2014 — The Great Falls Americans earned a two game sweep over the Gillette Wild on Saturday night after posting a 3-0 shutout over the Wild at the Campbell County Ice Arena. The Americans scored once in all three periods to run their record to 23-6-1 on the season. On Friday night, Great Falls defeated the Wyoming team 5-3.

GILLETTE, Wyo., January 3, 2014 — Three Days after the Great Falls Americans came up short in a 4-3 loss to the Billings Bulls, the Americans wasted no time finding the back of the net in their first game of the new year against the Gillette Wild. Great Falls scored three of their five goals in the first period to edge the Wild 5-3 in front of 468 fans at the Campbell County Ice Arena.

BILLINGS, Mont., December 31, 2013 — After competing in the AWHL Player’s Showcase where college scouts and coaches watched in Las Vegas two weeks ago, the Americans hoped to maintain their winning streak as regular season action resumed on the ice as they faced the Billings Bulls in the Magic City on New Year’s Eve.
