The NA3HL gives out “Season Awards” at the end of each season. The awards are given to the top performing players in each division and in the entire North American 3 Hockey League.

NA3HL announces year-end season awards for 2014-15

FRISCO, TX., March 20, 2015 — In their first year as members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), the Great Falls Americans Junior A Hockey team had two players that have been selected by the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) for league honors during the 2014-15 season.

The league awards include Most Valuable Player, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year. Other awards that were recognized this year were the All-NA3HL 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and All-Rookie teams, Community Service and Academic Award winners as voted on by the league’s coaches and general managers, based upon performance during the 2014-15 regular season.

During this season, the league expanded their awards to recognize amongst each division with All-Divisional Teams, MVP divisional awards, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Community Service and Academic Award winners.

Lucas Stover, a defenseman from Corona, California, was named to the 2014-15 All-Frontier Division Team along with teammate Lucas Lomax, a forward from Phoenix, Arizona. Lomax was also one of six recipients of the 2014-15 All-NA3HL 3rd Team.

Stover, who played in 41 games, recorded 25 points (five goals and 20 assists) and helped lead the Americans into their first year as members of the NA3HL as the champions of the Frontier Division. The California native also was selected and participated in the 2015 Top Prospects Tournament as a member of the Frontier Division. He accumulated one goal and dished out two assists in three games.

Lomax led the team with 30 goals and finished the season with 19 assists in 41 appearances. He had his best performance against Glacier in September where he had one goal and five assists in an 8-2 victory over the Nationals. Lomax was also on the Frontier Division squad at the 2015 Top Prospects Tournament where he played in two games and scored one goal.
