GREAT FALLS, Mont., November 3, 2017 — Last month, the Great Falls Americans (10-2-2-0) split their series 1-1 when they faced off in Cody, Wyoming.

Their third matchup would be a tough challenge for the home-standing Americans on Friday evening.

Riley Buller and Cole Stewart each netted two goals as they forced the Great Falls Americans to a rare 4-0 shutout at the Great Falls Ice Plex. The Quake goals all came via the power play.

Riley Buller lit up the lamp once during the first and second periods to give the visiting team a 2-0 advantage. Great Falls was down a man after they committed penalties on each of the Yellowstone scoring drives. Mason Stewart, Shaw Walworth, Cole Stewart and goaltender Reid Waszczenko chipped in the assists for coach Ryan Theros’ squad. Great Falls took three more shots than Yellowstone (29-26) before the second intermission but failed to get in the scoring column.

Cole Stewart of Yellowstone drove by American defenders on his way to his ninth and tenth goals of the season in the final period. Mason Stewart, Shaw Walworth and Riley Buller were credited with the assists.

Each team took 39 total shots in the sixty-minute NA3HL game.

The winning goalie was Reid Waszczenko, who played a perfect game with 39 saves for the Quake. Bryan Sharp settled for his first regulation loss after starting out the season 4-0. The first-year player for Great Falls ended the game with 35 saves.
