Week Ending February 28, 2016
The NA3HL gives out a weekly “Divisional Star of the Week” award during each of the regular season. Frontier Division Star of the Week: Arseny Ivanov, Defenseman, GF Americans
The Great Falls Americans kept their Frontier title hopes alive with a 7-1 win over Billings in their lone game of the weekend last week. Defenseman Arseny Ivanov, 20, had a big game as the native of Moscow, Russia, recorded two goals from the blueline including the game-winner in the win. Ivanov was also a +2 in the game. Ivanov (5’11”, 178) recently played in the 2016 Top Prospects Tournament for the Frontier Division team, where he had a great event with four assists in three games. In 36 games played this season, Ivanov has 19 points.
Great Falls Americans head coach Jeff Heimel: “Arseny is a true competitor. He plays well on both sides of the puck and last weekend showed his ability to play produce offensively. His plus/minus on the season reflects his completeness as a defenseman and we are excited by his performance so far this season.”

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Tyler Garcia, Forward, GF Americans
With two road wins over the weekend, the Great Falls Americans kept pace with Yellowstone for the top spot in the Frontier Division. Newly acquired forward Tyler Garcia, 21, had a good weekend as the native of Anchorage, AK, had three points and was a +4 in two wins over Billings and Helena. On Friday, Garcia (6’0″, 205) scored twice in a 6-1 win in Billings. On Saturday, he had an assist in a 2-1 win at Helena. For the season, Garcia has 13 points in 16 games played with the Americans.
Great Falls Americans head coach Jeff Heimel: “Tyler has been a great addition for our team. He brings a physical presence to the line-up and he is also a very hard worker. He has been an impact player for us since his arrival and we hope that this continues and adds to the momentum he has built this season.”

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Ricards Bernhards, Forward, GF Americans
18-year-old Ricards Bernhards helped the Great Falls Americans stay undefeated and in first place in the Frontier Division with a weekend road sweep of the Yellowstone Quake this past weekend. The native of Jelgava, Latvia had five points and was a +2 in the weekend sweep. On Friday, Bernhards (6’4″, 170) had two goals, including the game-winner, in a come-from-behind 4-3 win. On Saturday, he had another game-winning goal and two more assists in a 5-1 win. Bernhards leads the team in scoring this season with seven points in three games.
Great Falls Americans head coach Jeff Heimel: “Ricards is a great player and has some great size that he takes advantage of. He competes really hard, and it is tough to tell he is a rookie. He stepped up to the plate this past weekend and has a ton of upside.”

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Tegan Harrington, Forward, GF Americans
The Great Falls Americans opened the defense of their Frontier title last weekend with a convincing 12-1 win over the Glacier Nationals. Tegan Harrington, an 18-year-old forward (6’0″/185) led the way in the win with a goal and three assists anda +4 rating. Harrington is a native of Wasilla, Alaska and previously played for Wasilla High School.
Great Falls Americans head coach Jeff Heimel: “Tegan is a great kid and a leader on and off the ice. He competes hard and we are excited about what he brings to the table. It is early in the season, but he played great for his first junior hockey game.”
