Frontier Division Star of the Week: Payton McSharry, Forward, GF Americans
Payton McSharry, 18-year-old, from Anchorage, Alaska had a total of five points over a two-game series this weekend, including three goals (one on the power play) and two assists. Payton also had a +6 performance on Friday.
Great Falls Americans assistant coach Erik Gatson: “Payton was shooting the puck nonstop this weekend. He’s got a good shot and we’re constantly challenging him to use it more in games. It was good to see him score a few this weekend.”

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Tanner Congdon, Defenseman, GF Americans
Anchorage, Alaska native Tanner Congdon kept a hot stick through the weekend for Great Falls. The 19-year-old forward scored five goals, one being a game-winner, for the Americans – which included a hat trick on Saturday night.
Great Falls Americans assistant coach Erik Gatson: “Tanner continues to do what he does best. He is exceptionally consistent, and we love that about him.”

Playing a strong two-way game this weekend was Great Falls defenseman Jesse Johnson. The 20-year-old from Anchorage, AK notched five points of the Americans, including two goals and three assists. Johnson was also a +5.
Great Falls Americans assistant coach Erik Gatson: “Jesse recently got his wisdom teeth removed and had not seen game-speed on the ice in a bit. To see him come back, and not miss a beat, was great.”

Saturdays are for shutouts in the world of Nick Nast, who stood on his head for the Americans this weekend. The Oxnard, CA native collected 35 perfect saves in his second shutout of the season, as Great Falls took a 6-0 win over Missoula.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Kyler Ayers, Goaltender, GF Americans
Goaltender Kyler Ayers earned his first Star of the Week honor with a shutout performance on Friday night. The Boise, Idaho native made all 30 saves in 60 minutes of play, earning his second shutout of the season.
Great Falls Americans assistant coach Erik Gatson: “Kyler Ayers did a great job for us when he was called upon, he has the mentality who is always ready to step up.”
